Chalet Bonjour-Versoye has been built in the traditional alpine style and the interior is finished in wood giving a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Our chalet la Plagne is in a great location in the picturesque mountain village of Montchavin, an authentic Savoyarde village and a vibrant ski station, at the heart of the Paradiski ski area. The panoramic views of the Tarentaise valley are fantastic with Mont Blanc taking centre stage. Montchavin is arguably the prettiest and most stunning of all the French Alpine ski villages.
Skiing from the chalet
The chalet is just 50 metres from both the cable car and piste and only 250 meters from the nearest chair lift. It has easy access to ski hire, ski school meeting points, bars, restaurants, the crêche and the night-club. You will be perfectly situated to ski all of the Paradiski ski area. A few minutes after leaving the chalet, you can be riding the spectacular Vanoise Express double-decker cable car (Europe’s largest) to les Arcs, effectively doubling the skiing available from the doorstep.
The chalet accommodation sleeps 17 (13 adults + 4 children) in 6 en-suite bedrooms consisting of:

First Floor
- Cosy Alpine style lounge with computer and children's games
- Large dining area
- Bedroom 1: twin room with en-suite shower and wc
- Bedroom 2: double room (cosy, access to bed from one side only) with en-suite shower and wc
Second Floor
- Bedroom 3: quadruple room (3 single beds and 1 bed on mezzanine) with en-suite shower room, wc and balcony
- Bedroom 4: triple room (twin and 1 bed on mezzanine) with en-suite bathroom, wc and balcony
- Bedroom 5: triple room (twin and 1 bed on mezzanine) with en-suite shower and wc
- Bedroom 6: small triple room (double, 1 bed on mezzanine) with en-suite shower and wc
If you are looking for a real, free standing alpine chalet, not an apartment, or accommodation situated over shops, then this has to be for you. The chalet is full of charm and character, right down to the headboards on the beds, carved to copy and describe the mountain view from that particular window. Comfy beds, well fitted bathrooms and warm welcoming communal rooms complete the picture.
In holiday periods the chalet is ideal for families, with little mezzanine areas to fit the children at low cost, to avoid breaking the bank. At other times, the bedrooms are best used without the mezzanines and the chalet then comfortably sleeps 13 adults.
Montchavin is a very picturesque village. Lots of little cobbled side streets to explore, farm animals wintered in the village, pretty little shops, a mix of farm houses and traditional chalets with market stalls and other attractions in the late afternoons/evenings.
The snow covered trees, piste and bubble lift are barely more than a stones throw away. There is wonderful tree lined skiing down to the chalet and the la Plagne ski area is huge and varied, ideal for both adults and children alike. If that is not enough, a four man high speed chair, 250 metres from the chalet, drops off conveniently for the Vanoise Express cable car, creating a direct link into the les Arcs ski area. So, using the two lifts close to the chalet, both our local ski areas of la Plagne and les Arcs are immediately available to you.
